Who is Eligible for Coverage?



Opt-Out Program

Declination of Healthcare Coverage

All benefit-eligible employees may elect to opt-out of medical insurance coverage during the annual Open Enrollment period – you must meet with a Benefits Counselor to opt-out and provide a completed Declination of Healthcare Coverage Affidavit.

Medical Plan Opt-Out Credit

Did you know? By declining Medical Coverage through DCPS, you are eligible to receive a credit of up to $1,200 annualized!

Note: If you choose to opt-out of medical coverage, you are still eligible for all other benefits.

How to Enroll

If you do not wish to make any changes to your current benefit elections and you do not make employee contributions to an MFSA, DFSA, or HSA, your current benefit elections will automatically carry forward to the current plan year.
